Hunter had x-rays taken today and consulted with an orthopedic surgeon. From his first wrestling match at St. Thomas Acquinas, it was determined that he has SCIWORA: spinal chord injury without radiographic abnormality. It will heal on its own in 4-6 weeks, however, he can not live wrestle or run free standing. He can cross-train as he has been doing for the past week.

Steph, no wonder you don't enjoy the wrestling matches. It is hard for mom's to view such things. Hope Hunter takes it easy and heals completely. He is a terrific young man!
