I'm in LOVE with the FALL weather!!!!!!!

Jessica and I enjoyed visiting Deanna Rose Pumpkin Patch. I volunteered at the Maze and playground and we enjoyed the experience for free. The weather was lovely and Jess loved being active. Brad joined in as well.

BVN Homecoming 08

Brandon attended the homecoming dance last weekend with a group of friends. He spent the day in Lawrence, KS competing in a marching festival and got home 1 hour before the dance.

BVN Homecoming Spectacular

October 2, our family enjoyed a fun night of free food and entertainment as the high school celebrated homecoming week. The highlights of the night were introducing all the team sports, the LARGE bonfire, and the 15 minute traditional fireworks show. Brandon played his trumpet during the ceremony and Jessica loved dancing on the stage with another toddler.

Of course, we were anxious to get home to view the Gov. Palin and Senator Biden debate. Thank goodness for DVR!  I love that technology!!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!!!!!!

A Fun-Friday celebration was a great way to wish my Mom a happy birthday! Jessie and I spent Oct. 3 traveling around KC enjoying the fall weather and Saturday was spent in Lawrence, KS at the Heart of America Band Festival where we heard 8 High School bands perform including Blue Valley North Mustangs.

Dad did not go with us on Friday as he spends a lot of time volunteering at the Bishop's Storehouse/Cannery for the LDS church. Even though he is 70 in NOVEMBER, he continues to amaze his family with his diligence in keeping busy with service.

Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mom and I saw 2 fountains running PINK WATER

Jessie was so excited running around the Ewing Kaufmann Memorial Gardens and even tried to catch the fish in the water.

However, the most exciting event of the day was illegally turning into 4 LANES of ONE-WAY TRAFFIC on the Plaza. A cool mind and an EMPTY LANE saved us from an accident. I flipped a quick U-TURN (which was also highly illegal).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!
