NAUVOO Illinois Temple: Jake and Kalie get hitched

On a beautiful July morning in Nauvoo, these two lovelies got hitched! The weather was in the low 80's which was very unexpected. Jess and I were the only ones in the Brad Bishop family to be able to attend. We reunited with Grandma and Grandpa Bishop, Aunt Heather and Ritch and Maria and Jeff and their children!  It was so much fun all rolled into 2 days

Here is video of the cute couple leaving the temple.

Wisconsin friends from the 1990's:  Kathy Shurilla and Jill Chausow

PEACE OUT!

This is my favorite picture of the event!

Jessica and I visited Nauvoo statue garden. Jess mostly enjoyed reading Goose Girl!

Jessica and I stayed an extra night to attend the Nauvoo British Pageant held in Nauvoo during the last weekends of July. It was a very entertaining production with music, dance, costumes and pageantry. The evening was lovely and the temperature was unseasonably pleasant for July 30.

We drove an hour to Hannibal, MO and stayed the night. We toured the historic town where Mark Twain spent his childhood and was inspired to write his classic stories of Huck Finn etc.

Jess and I visited this STRANGE antique shop in Hannibal. The shop was filled with life-size mannequins displaying costumes for purchase. Other items in the store were even more creepy and included baby dolls with faces very real looking.

Tamara's Poster Art Digital Photos

My mother is a talented and delightful artist. Her beloved designs have wished many family members, friends and loved ones well wishes for all holidays and special occasions.

For my 50th birthday, my three sisters and I took photos of all the posters my Mom had stored in a trunk in her basement. These posters were used to advertise Church events for the past 40 decades. We enjoyed this delightful trip down memory lane and have preserved these images in this slide show and in a dropbox account.

We love our dear mother and so appreciate her talents and energy for all things beautiful.

Jessie learns Chinese

For five weeks, Jessie participated in a FREE program offered through the Blue Valley school district to teach Chinese to heritage and non-heritage students. The teachers ONLY spoke Chinese and immersed the kids in all aspects of the Chinese culture. Jessie loved learning and meeting new people and friends!
