Civil War Renanctment

Saturday, we attended a fabulous event where over 300 men participated in a Civil War Reenactment on a large battlefield. There were over 15 working canons, 25 men on horses, and lots of infantrymen with guns and bayonets. The kids loved seeing the battle and learned a lot concerning battles fought in the Civil War.

Here is some video of what we saw.

That's pretty cool! My kids would love to see that (well me too)! Riley had just recently brought home a book about battle gear through WWI, so we read all about uniforms and weapons used like cannon, sabers, muskets and rifles. He would probably spout off about what sorts of weaponry he was seeing. :)
