Heart of America Marching Festival 2010

KU Heart of America Festival

A cool, crisp fall evening with a clear sky was the backdrop for the 2010 Heart of America Marching Band Festival. We viewed 6 Kansas High School Marching Bands from the region. BVN performed second to last and then heard the KU college band. These are some of my favorite High School activities to attend. Music fills my soul and brings great joy. Hunter is enjoying his participation in the band.

Birthday celebrations for Hunter's 16th

16th BIRTHDAY------A date teens look forward to with great anticipation!  

Hunter woke up on September 12 at 6 AM to the sounds of his father's voice asking him to help take out the garbage. Slowly, but willingly, Hunter tumbled out of bed only to be ambushed by a large group of his peers who immediately blindfolded the surprised victim.

After securing their victim, they led him out of the house, into cars driven by their parents, and to the nearest I-HOP----the all-American healthy start to any teens day
