A BLAST from the past

Obsession with the Star Wars series of movies began when Brandon was just 2-years-old. Watching a movie from the saga was a daily event (often 2 times) for Brandon and then his brothers.

After Carson was born, he earned the nickname "Car Car" Binks because the Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace was released.

When Jessica was born, my sister Tanya nicknamed her "Jedica" after the Jedi Knights!

Halloween at our house was usually celebrated with light sabers, makeup and hair gel! We own over 25 light sabers, many held together with duct tape!

It is not Halloween and no, we do not have a new baby to nickname--
the kids are just trying to keep "cool"--------

Three days ago, we set up shop in the basement! Camping out and trying to keep cool these last days of summer is not easy.

Seeing all four of my children watching the classic good vs. evil movies is a DREAM COME TRUE

and one of my LAST treasured memories of the summer of 2010!

It just occurred to me as I was reading your blog. That maybe the broken AC was a blessing to greatly increase quality family time (basement bonding) before B. heads off to college. What a memory they will always have.

Just a thought.
