BEST Hometeachers EVER!

Br. Naylor and one of his 4 boys have been our Hometeachers for 10 years!

We so enjoy their monthly visits and are grateful to call them our friends!

Trunk or Treat with Friends!!!

Our family has enjoyed the annual Trunk or Treat for 20 years! More often than not, the weather cooperates and the children show up with adorable costumes!

 October is filled with many family, school and church activities and sometimes Halloween sneaks up and costume ideas are limited. Jessica's wig was discovered in the stored Halloween costume box one day before this event. She borrowed the dress from her good friend, Maleah Deshler, and the headband came from Hallmark. Her creative mind defines her as "Rapunzel" but I am not so convinced!

Carson has been dreaming about this costume since the summer, however, his involvement in his middle school play and school projects have restricted his FREE TIME considerably. His attention to detail and sense of style and commitment to "all things Halloween" made Saturday a very busy and stressful day. 

 DEADPOOL--SUPER HERO---AKA Carson Bishop

 With Dad's help and imagination, they managed to create a fairly realistic looking "Deadpool" and appear at the Trunk or Treat only 10 minutes late!!!!

Although I have NEVER heard of this super hero, Carson is quite enthralled with the character.

Jessica performs in a Halloween recital--SHOUT BOO!

Mrs. Julie Silverburg, Jessie's piano teacher, holds an annual Halloween recital with all her elementary aged children. Jessie played "Shout Boo" and enjoyed seeing her good friends, Sara and Madeline Bills!

Growing up never sounded so good!!!

Although the weather was 32°, We enjoyed listening to the last high school marching show for Hunter. He has participated in the band for four years and has learned so much from the fabulous directors. We are proud of his commitment to making great music.

School's out and we spent time at the farm

Deanna Rose Farm was empty because no one was crazy enough to be outside in the 40 degrees. Carson, Jess and I bundled up and had a great time at Pumpkin Hallow! We ran into Dylan Bailey and Eli Staggs volunteering as well!

Carson's 8th grade science definitions

Carson worked hard on this 8th Grade Science project. He created it in MS Word and added a lot of color, graphics and visual appeal. I took a picture with my iPhone and used the SmileBox App to add the border and words. I then used the  Blogger APP to upload the photo and create a post!  I LOVE LOVE these tools!

Trumpet Player Carson Bishop makes us proud

Our three boys have participated in the OTMS Concert and Jazz Bands while attending the school. 8th grader Carson is a trumpet player and is pictured below! (SOMEWHERE) Having attended ALL of the concerts the boys participated in makes me a good candidate to state that this concert had the MOST students participating in the music programs including Choir and Bands! Makes me proud to be a Band Mom Geek!!!
