"Great Flour Incident of 2003" CWB

When Carson was 3, we left the boys home while we went 2 doors down for dinner. This was the first time Brandon was in charge. A frantic voice on the phone called Brad home to check the damage.

This is what he found. (Stephanie could not bring herself to see the destruction. Fortunately, Brad cleaned the mess before she got home.)

Jessie has another HIGH fever and it will probably last for 4 days like the last several fevers. Brad says since there are no other symptons, her body is probably fighting  virus.

Naylor/Larson Goodbye Party

We had a party one week ago for 2 youth that I have known for 13 years. Alaina Larson graduated from High School and Joseph Naylor is leaving to serve a 2 year mission in Las Vegas. Before Brad went to work, he created a sign that said, "What Gets Baptized in Vegas, Stays Active in Vegas." We used the new 3D sidewalk chalk-pretty cool! It was a wonderful turnout with many friends wishing the 2 well.

Baby Bunnies

One Spring day, we looked out and found these baby bunnies on our porch. Jessie was so excited and even picked one up. They were hungry and weak so we offered some lettuce, however, they did not bite. The next day, they were no where to be found. Maybe Mom came to take them away from the evil humans.

Last Days of School

Brandon enjoyed seminary graduation and performing in 2 concerts. He was able to learn 3 very powerful songs and performed them with a special orchestra featuring a few of the woodwinds from his band. The concert was fabulous and the music was a big payoff for many extra practices before and after school.

Hunter also performed in an outdoor concert called Pops in the Park. We enjoyed being outside and eating our dinner in mild temperature with very low humidity.

Carson enjoyed his Field Day and we had another great day of mild temperatures. So far, the rain that we have had this season has been all at night. It is a very beautiful and green spring without all the mess of rain.

The kids spoiled me for Mother's Day by giving me each a card and chocolate. My new digital picture frame helps me remember all the great moments being parents.

Even though the month of May is often very busy, I so enjoy all the events that we as parents participate in. It seems like it is PAY BACK month for all the hours of parenting we do.

Last Wednesday, Brandon and members of his church youth group performed for their Talent Show. They sang to "Sweet Spirit" off the Sons of Provo sound track and made up a skit for the Priest Korum Komedy Troupe-PKKT! It was a RIOT and a must see! It maybe long, but if you are a RELATIVE, you must watch--a friend can simply skim through it.

Hunter played a piano solo that I previously recorded on the blog. His quorum performed such a SHORT skit that I did not catch it!!!!

Click the link below and have fun!

Jessie is finally recovering from a 103 degree fever for 4 days (with no other symptons). She has been up through a lot of the nights and I am glad Brad has been home as he is a much better NIGHT person than I. I take the DAY shift.
Spring has sprung here in KC and it is delightful to feel of the sunshine and renewal that our beautiful earth is experiencing! Grass, flowers, and buds appear daily and refreshes the soul. School is certainly winding down as well with many concerts and activities planned. I so enjoy attending the boys outside concerts and hearing the fun music that is performed. Carson looks forward to his FIELD DAY and I do as well.

TRACK season

We've been enjoying the outdoors by watching Brandon and Hunter participate in TRACK at High School and Middle School. Hunter's track meet ended long before the Severe Weather we experienced last night. We were very grateful to not have any damage to our home with last night's strong winds and possible tornados. The upper North part of our community had

A LOT of damage and we are praying for our community.
