Our dream family vacation began with a 13-hour drive to Galveston, (with a Dallas detour to visit friends). Upon arrival at the port, the six of us proceeded to follow the other 4,000 passengers needing to pass through customs with our passports. Surprisingly, the process took only 2 hours and was well-organized.
After we boarded the ship, we had two hours to explore before we were able to get into our small room and unpack our tightly packed suitcases.
The ship offered entertainment for young and old and aboard were people of all varieties. Brad delighted in showing Jessie how to play Putt Putt golf her FIRST time.
We had two rooms on Deck 2 for our big family. Even though the room where we slept, got ready and stored our belongings was small, the entire space was utilized very effectively to make for a comfortable area. The three boys slept in one room and quickly discovered room service included in the price of our tickets. The television served as a computer as well and allowed for ordering food. Carson's first order was ALL desserts and Brandon ordered at least once a day EVERY day.
During the evening, we were entertained by different comedians each night. We laughed out loud and enjoyed the moment.
At the back of the ship, their was a second sun deck with a large pool and two whirlpools. The nightly and early morning chilly temps made a hot tub very comfortable.
A water park equipped with two slides was the highlight for the children, teens and adults.
