4 SNOW DAYS: KC Metro shuts down

Two epic snow/ice/sleet storms hit the KC metro in less than one week. Businesses, schools, and commerce shut down and hospital personnel slept at nearby hotels or worse, brought blow up mattresses to work and slept in closet! (That is what Dr. Bishop did)

In order to assist my ill father, I spent 3 days at my Mom's house assisting in healthcare needs.

These pictures reflect what COULD of been a HUGE disaster to my parent's house and well being.

This HUGE limb missed my parent's house, cars, and most importantly, the dangling power lines.

Without power, my father's colonoscopy prep COULD of been soooooo very ugly!!!

Homecoming with Joshlin Manning

Hunter attended the BVN Homecoming dance with good friends Joshlin Manning, Jacob Squire, and Makaela Terrance. These have been his LDS buddies throughout his teen years! Even though it was a rainy night, the group made it a memorable night.

Jacob Squire has been Hunter's good friend since the two began early-morning seminary with Sister Leanne Hansen. Makaela Terrance and Joshlin Manning have known Hunter for over 10 years and Joshlin attends the same High School as Hunter.

Winter Storm "Q" cripples KC

School, work, church, businesses closed today due to a wintry mix of rain, sleet, snow and THUNDERSTORMS! What an odd experience to hear thunderous sounds coming from a blanket of pure white snow and sky!

Ironically, we spent the day preparing for a Spring Break cruise to the Caribbean! We took inventory of shoes, hats, sunglasses and swimsuits and used online shopping to make necessary purchases for the warm weather trip of a lifetime!

Cupid Classic

Jessie and Maleah performed in the Cupid Classic which was held in a large auditorium in downtown Kansas City. The giant venue made Jessie's nerves spike, however, she managed to perform well and score well on all four apparatuses--vault, beam, bars, and floor. Her team produced a third place finish and enjoyed performing together.

Coach Ally assisted the girls through the meet and also coach Petra. Coach Ally only worked with Jessie for a few months and then was replaced with Coach CJ.

The awards ceremony is a highlight of these gymnasts' meet. The performers are all smiles and glows as they receive their "bling" and hang it proudly around their neck.
