Celebrating Halloween without Brandon was difficult, but we managed to enjoy the holiday our family has loved so much. Our creative juices were on vacation this year and we failed to create a "theme" event, but sometimes you have to "get real"
Trunk or Treat has been a tradition for many years at our church. While driving to the event, it always makes me giggle to pass over 4 other church's holding the SAME event. I like to think we were the FIRST to gather for treats from our car trunks!
After Trunk or Treat, we went to Grandma's house where she served us her famous chili and cornbread. Jessie had a fun time with Aunt Kim, Grandma, Daddy and I making some edible Halloween treats! (well, at least Grandma's cupcakes were edible! The spiders were not)
A Sunday Halloween celebration is just not the same! Carson chose to not go out trick or treating, however, Jessie was very confused as to why we were not taking her to get candy! As a 5 year-old, she is really into getting FREE candy AND dressing up. However, we created a diversion by attending a party with friends held at---The Bagleys.
Hunter has met many good friends in the marching band and is learning a lot about working with groups and playing good music. He is led by dedicated directors and performs with talented students. As a family, it is a bonus for us to see these teens grow and mature during their 4 years of band.
