Jessie's FIRST Primary Talk
Jessie gave her first talk today in primary. Her proud brothers and grandpa enjoyed learning from her words. (DAD was working, but she recited her talk for him later)
Prophets Teach Me to Strengthen my Family 9-19-09
This is a picture of someone VERY special in our church.
He worked in the printing business;
His middle name starts with an S, which stands for Spencer;
He is the 16th President of the Church;
Who is HE?
President Thomas S. Monson
He teaches us to strengthen our families.
He tells us to love one another-- listen to our parents --pray together--- hold weekly family home evening.
The prophet wants us to love our siblings. I know my brothers love me. Brandon, my brother, loves to wrestle with me and fight. It is Fun. Hunter takes very good care of me when my Mom and Dad are gone. Carson loves to play barbies with me. My brothers are the best!
When I listen and obey my parents, there is peace in our home. I am proud when I do what my Mom and Dad say.
My family prays together even though we are hardly TOGETHER. Before each meal, we thank God for our food and bless it. Before school, Carson and I pray to have a good day. When I go to bed at night, I pray and give thanks.
Once a week, my family gathers together. This does not always fall on a Monday night—sometimes it is Sunday—sometimes it is a Friday night—My family’s schedule is crazy, but we try to have a weekly time to discuss spiritual messages from the scriptures.
If we do these 4 things, our family can be strengthened and we can have peace in our home.
PS Brandon said he looked like an "AMOBEA" What do you think?

Oh the YEARS go by FAST!
Brandon has been playing piano since the 3rd grade. He quit taking lessons as a Freshman in High School, however enjoys playing music that he wants. After school, Jessie was playing with Melia Deshler and they broke out into dance when Brandon began playing! OH THE YEARS of piano lessons and prodding make this
moment so FULFILLING!
