Brad and I got to see Wicked for the FIRST time and were engulfed in wonder as we witnessed one of THE best musicals ever performed! What a great MID-DAY date for us!
We loved (okay just me really) "Wicked" when we saw it in New York. The funniest thing that happened was right after the defying gravity song and the curtain drops and the lights come on for the intermission Daryl jumps out of his seat and says alright let's go. And a bit confused I tell him, "I'm sure it's not over yet.?."
Funny Daryl! I am soooooo glad we went even though it was a bit pricey! What an amazing cast. I listened to a song of Defying Gravity on the internet by the Broadway stars and thought the performers in the production we saw had better voices. Granted, the entire pageantry of LIVE theater played a role in the sound quality, but the internet voice was "Breathy"
I LOVED it too! Just fabulous! Means even more when you have a Kansas connection like us! :-)
