WORST WINTER EVER

It is only Late February and our region has 36 inches of snow. Our schools have been canceled for 6 days. The polar vortex dropped temperatures to negative 20 windshield amounts. BRRRRRRR ⛄️❄️⛄️❄️⛄️❄️🌨🌨

Jessie has watched a lot of movies and we have watched almost all seasons of The Office. It has been a long cold winter.

But the babies have loved outdoor adventures!!

SNOW DAY #SIX

To all those parents of juniors & seniors NOT taking the ACT today, I am sorry for the anxiety delaying this national exam has caused. Waiting 42 more days may seem like more torture, but my 3 high school graduates reminded me that “they didn’t study for the ACT  much anyway.” As this is our region’s 6th snow day, our district released details how the days will be made up. In place of extending school after Memorial Day, the district will add approximately 10-15 minutes each day and take away one scheduled “Teacher Training Day” In my memory of public school participation in Kansas, this has never been an option for making up snow days. Granted, 6 snow days in one year hasn’t occurred since I attended school. Tough decisions by the school board and I like their creativity. I am wondering how teachers & administrators will actually facilitate this added time. #snowday #snowmaggedon2019 #climatechange #cantcontroltheweather
