For 6 hours a week, Jessica practices gymnastics with several coaches at Elite Gymnastics. I have really enjoyed watching her gain confidence, skills, and courage as she gets ready to compete as a Level 3 gymnast in December.

We spent an enjoyable morning with our dear friends, Bagleys, listening to Marching Bands from Kansas perform in the KU Band day parade. The weather was delightful and the treats were yummy!

18 years old and a REGISTERED VOTER!!!
When we received Hunter's blue registered voter card, feelings of pride, joy, astonishment and a bit of sadness hovered over me. How possibly could I have another son old enough to cast his vote? Particularly exciting is the fact that he will most likely vote for the FIRST MORMON candidate on the United States ballot for President of the country! Unbelievable and quite thrilling.
His 18th birthday was a quick celebration as he had seminary, school and band practice. We did manage to enjoy a lovely evening steak meal, presents, and some yummy cake.

KC Symphony on Labor Day
The Bagley's, Staggs and our family enjoyed the music of the Kansas City symphony on Labor Day. The weather was beautiful and it was refreshing to be outside at Shawnee Mission Park.
Did I mention that the concert was FREE!
