Zions National Park: Camping with friends
During our 3-year BYU school days, we enjoyed several camping trips with dear friends.
Pictured below is a majestic waterfall, found near Zion's park, which the Shipleys and us found by accident and a bit of crazy! We really pushed our 1997 Toyota corolla to be an "off-road" vehicle to stumble upon this lovely nature. We were safe and therefore the adventure was worth it!
Closer to home, we camped up Provo Canyon with Shipleys, Shoemakers and Shipleys mom. We had a fabulous time.
Zion's National Park with Tim & Jan Shipley and Roni and Scott Miller. One of my favorite National Parks
Goblin Valley, Utah is not the easiest site to camp due to its windy heat and dry climate with no shade. But we had a fantastic time hiking and exploring the futuristic site. Shoemakers, Shipleys, and Hammonds.
Here is our campsite with the little shade available in the Goblin Valley. It was hot and dry and windy
Tim Shipley slipped and rolled onto Patty Hammond's ankle, thus ending Marion and Patty Hammond's trip with us as young married couples.
Marion and Patty Hammond lived next door to us at 1009 N University AVE for 2 years. They adopted us and we loved watching Anne of Green Gables, BYU sports games, Dungeons and Dragons and SMARTIES!!!!!!! Lots of SMARTIES.
